2026 NBA Draft Evaluation Model V2
More player ratings for NBA Draft Hopefuls and Possibly Players Taking the College Route
Here is the second iteration of the series I started last year for the Draft Prospect Evaluation Tool. If you never seen this before please take a look at the post I have linked below explaining how these rankings are determined. In short, this is an excel model I created that generates ratings based on multiple factors and are completely unbiased and strictly rely on basketball data to generate a player rating for each player.
This post will be the first of which that does not only involve draft prospects but various international prospects who may go the college route.
NBA Draft Prospect Evaluation Model
If you have read my other recent posts, you would know that I have been working on an Excel Code to rank NBA Draft Prospects. After multiple iterations I have finally found something that I am happy with. This model is based on the following:
Ratings as of 01/206/2026
At first glance you may look at this and go who are half of these guys. Not all of these guys will be declaring for the NBA Draft, some aren’t even able to yet, but I decided to include some of those prospects here moving forward due to the influx of international prospects into college basketball. While evaluating talent and potential I will showcase some younger players who are great candidates to take the college route, so let’s say you’re a diehard Buckeyes fan start petitioning to get some of these players to get to Columbus Ohio if you see the vision.
Miika Muurinen
This kid took the basketball world by storm last year, coming out of what seems like nowhere to a top player in the country. Rather than finish out high school he left to go play for Partizan beforehe eventually comes back to play college ball. With the small sample size we have and given him being 18 don’t let the under 50 rating fool you, this kid can flat out hoop. I don’t know exactly what he is learning at Partizan, but I know he’s getting great exposure and playing against legit Pro’s.
Mitar Bosnjakovic
Another player who I don’t expect to declare for the draft this year but a guy I am keeping a close eye on. Was a keep part of Serbia’s U18 Teams run last year and is now playing for Partizan after leaving Real Madrid. The rating here does him little to no justice being as he is getting little to no time this year but if you don’t know the name, start looking into him.
Luigi Suigo
One guy I would like to highlight who I don’t think goes the college route is Luigi Suigo. I think he has a very good shot at getting drafting this year somewhere in the late 1st round, maybe an early 2nd rounder. The past draft data I have compiled shows players his size rarely make it past pick 20. Now I do think he is an outlier here but I can see a world where Luigi Suigo gets drafted on night 1. In one of my earlier posts I went back and reviewed draft data in the past 8 drafts and saw a clear correlation linked between height at some positions, if you wanna check that out, it is linked below!
The two highest ratings here being Sergio DeLarrea (if you were here last year you know how much I loved this guy) and Savo Drezgic, a former Georgia Bulldog who is now in Serbia playing for KK Mega Bemax. At 6’7 a team has to take a shot on DeLarrea this year, I don’t think he has done anything to raise his draft stock this year and last year would have been the best year for him to come out. For Savo Drezgic this guy was not on my draft radar at all last year. He did not do much with limited opportunity at Georgia, but since coming to Serbia he is lighting it up and playing his way to a draft pick or back to a Major D-1 Program. Though I don’t believe for a second he is 6’4 I’d say closer to 6’2-6’3 (yes technically so close but as a guy who loves stats and data, this stuff matters).
All in all I compiled this list to start bringing attention to some names you may have never heard of. Everyone is talking about Karim Lopez, Dash Daniels, etc. my thoughts and additional ratings on these guys will come but we are early in the draft cycle, right now is more of a time to fill up as many names on your board and come April, May into early June is when we will start to cut guys out.

neoklis avdalas also looks great!
